We've been the friendly face on Bank Street for years, the sort of bar where the staff know your name and the regulars shift up to make room at the table. Come in for a pint at prices that won't break the bank, settle in for the football on the big screens, or take your drink out the front for a quiet half hour when the weather's kind.
We're not fancy and we don't try to be. What we've got is a warm welcome, plenty behind the bar, and a room full of folk having a good time. Whether you're a regular or just passing through Gala, there's always a seat for you.

Do you show live sport?
Aye, we've screens for the big matches and a cracking atmosphere when the game's on. When the football's showing there's free pies at half time too.
Is there outdoor seating?
There is. We've seating out the front for a quiet drink when the weather suits.
Are groups and parties welcome?
Very much so. We're a favourite for get-togethers and there's always room for a lively crowd. Give us a ring ahead on 01896 758655 if you're bringing a big group so we can make space.
Is there parking nearby?
There's on-street parking around Bank Street and public car parks a short walk away in the town centre.
Do you take card?
Yes, we take cards as well as cash behind the bar.
Do I need to book?
No need, just come on in. For larger groups it's worth a quick call so we can have a table ready.
